The Queens Bakery & Accommodations is located in a beautiful heritage building which was re-stored in 2012 by the present owners. Built in 1881, the Bakery boasts 15 foot tin ceilings, original hardwood flooring and exposed brick walls. Over it’s Century and a Half existence, the building has been home to dry good stores, furniture stores & funeral parlour, bakery, fabric & clothing stores, gift stores, apothecary and antique store. In 2012, the building was purchased and underwent a complete transformation, including a new store front, and updating the building for accessibility. The idea was to create a warm and inviting space where people could come to meet for a variety of reasons, feeling comfortable and un-rushed.
